2 Timothy 3:1-5 King James Version (KJV)

March 2020 will go down in the history of our family and possibly many others as a wake-up call as you will read below.

The most comforting words that I have heard during this global coronavirus outbreak situation have been: God Almighty is NOT surprised. Not only is He not surprised, but He has also permitted it all to happen and knowing that is also very comforting because I KNOW that God Almighty is a GOOD GOOD Father as JESUS CHRIST states in Luke 11:9-13:

And I say unto you, ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. 10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth, and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. 11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he asks for a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? 12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he †offer him a scorpion? 13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

To put it into perspective; think of a time that your father/mother told you we are going to move from A to B, did you being a child freak out? Very likely you did not because you trusted your parents. In the same way, we must trust our Heavenly Father during all times- the good times and the not so good times.

We must also ask why is God permitting this to happen?

I have shared several possible reasons on my social media as to why God may be permitting the coronavirus shutdowns:

• Could it be that God Almighty is grounding all parents of the world who have put materialism/money over their own children and essentially putting their children on the altar of Mammon? Picture a child sacrifice for a moment. A gruesome picture indeed but that is what many if not most women are doing with their children.
• Could it be that God Almighty wants mothers to stay home to be with their children instead of letting daycare and/or the liberal public school system raise their children actually they’re God’s children and not the government’s children
• Could it be that God Almighty is shaking and waking up the American sleeping giant- the American “culture church” who are busy getting tattoos, tweeting, and TikTok-ing?
• Could it be that we are reaping the consequences of a liberal Western church in the U.S.A. that should be an example of humility and obedience to God Almighty to the world but instead it is following Hollywood celebrities on social media and conforming to their culture instead of the Kingdom/God’s culture?
• Could it be that God Almighty is rebuking and calling out the “celebrity church” to genuine repentance?
• Could it be that God is bringing back the prodigal sons/daughters to Him?
• Could it be that God Almighty is shaking up the lukewarm church throughout the world?
• Could it be that JESUS CHRIST is returning so very soon and if He is, are we ready??

Think of a time when you were got scolded or grounded, hopefully, your parent/s sat you down and explained to you why you were getting scolded, grounded, or spanked. In the same manner, God does chasten those He loves as read in Hebrews 12:

My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: 6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

Were you taken by surprise by the Coronavirus situation? I believe that God has been telling those of us who are His children for some time now to REPENT- repent from any wicked ways. We must repent of whatever it is that we individually have been allowing to get in the way of our relationship with Almighty God, our spouse, children, and others (in that order).

Speaking of children… about a week ago we had a 5.7 earthquake at 7:09 AM. It was a strong earthquake that not only shook our homes but it shook us to our core. Thank our good LORD that there were no fatalities in the state and that no damage was done to our homes.

But I’m beyond happy to report that there was damage done to the kingdom of darkness! One of my prodigal children asked me for the prayer of salvation and another one of my children is constantly praying to God to deliver us from another earthquake because the aftershocks 3.1 or smaller have continued since March 18 – for over a week now. My daughter is currently in the basement working on her leg muscles and her faith muscle because we have avoided the basement as much as possible since the earthquake. It’s awesome to see her trust, God Almighty!

Two days ago we had an aftershock in the 2’s which we didn’t feel thank my good LORD and I pray that means that the aftershocks are disappearing albeit I am thankful in a sense for the earthquake and we are encouraged to give thanks through scripture in 1 Thessalonians 5:16-19:

Rejoice evermore. 17 Pray without ceasing. 18 In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 19 Quench, not the Spirit.

And below Romans 8:27-28, God Almighty lets us know that we can trust Him to use whatever we go through for our good, PRAISE GOD!

And He that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, ||because He maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. 28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose. ~ Romans 8:27,28

The coronavirus pandemic is drawing many unbelievers and lukewarm Christians back to JESUS CHRIST and that is a good thing!

If you are fearful during these trying times, I encourage you to pick up your Bible and ask God Almighty- our good good Father to guide you to a scripture that will speak to your soul and your spirit and that will help you to have faith and to trust that He is working all things together for the good. Reading God’s Word- the Bible will change your life, and you too will thank God for the coronavirus.

Last night I came across this must-read article from Lisa Bevere on www.charismanews.com where she states:

“So, I have actually felt like God is saying, ‘Let’s take this time to get strong. Let’s go into the season in one way, but let’s expose the weaknesses and turn them into places of strength. Let’s actually let the light of God’s Word shine on any place, any idol that you may think is your source of strength.’ Through this, you may just discover that you can’t trust in that. “Also, I think people have this chance to say, hey, wait.

Christianity is not just this little celebrity culture where we like each other’s posts or we retweet them. This is a battle.

To which I say, AMEN!!

PRAISE THE LORD that He has brothers and sisters who are on the frontlines of the celebrity church- who have many celebrity Christians that follow them on social media and it is my prayer that they will heed the call to repent of idol worship/celebrity Christianity, in the mighty name of JESUS CHRIST we pray for the glory of Almighty God and the furtherance of His Kingdom on earth as it is in Heaven. AMEN.
