Josiah Restores True Worship- Who Will Restore True Worship in the U.S.A?

2 Kings 23:1–37 (NKJV): 23 Now the king sent them to gather all the elders of Judah and Jerusalem to him. 2 The king went up to the house of the LORD with all the men of Judah, and with him all the inhabitants of Jerusalem—the priests and the prophets and all the people, both small and great. And he read in their hearing all the words of the Book of the Covenant which had been found in the house of the LORD.
3 Then the king stood by a pillar and made a covenant before the LORD, to follow the LORD and to keep His commandments and His testimonies and His statutes, with all his heart and all his soul, to perform the words of this covenant that were written in this book. And all the people took a stand for the covenant. 4 And the king commanded Hilkiah the high priest, the priests of the second order, and the doorkeepers, to bring out of the temple of the LORD all the articles that were made for Baal, for Asherah, and for all the host of heaven; and he burned them outside Jerusalem in the fields of Kidron, and carried their ashes to Bethel. 5 Then he removed the idolatrous priests whom the kings of Judah had ordained to burn incense on the high places in the cities of Judah and in the places all around Jerusalem, and those who burned incense to Baal, to the sun, to the moon, to the constellations, and to all the host of heaven. 6 And he brought out the wooden image from the house of the LORD, to the Brook Kidron outside Jerusalem, burned it at the Brook Kidron and ground it to ashes, and threw its ashes on the graves of the common people. 7 Then he tore down the ritual booths of the perverted persons that were in the house of the LORD, where the women wove hangings for the wooden image. 8 And he brought all the priests from the cities of Judah, and defiled the high places where the priests had burned incense, from Geba to Beersheba; also he broke down the high places at the gates which were at the entrance of the Gate of Joshua the governor of the city, which were to the left of the city gate. 9 Nevertheless the priests of the high places did not come up to the altar of the LORD in Jerusalem, but they ate unleavened bread among their brethren.
10 And he defiled Topheth, which is in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, that no man might make his son or his daughter pass through the fire to Molech. 11 Then he removed the horses that the kings of Judah had dedicated to the sun, at the entrance to the house of the LORD, by the chamber of Nathan-Melech, the officer who was in the court; and he burned the chariots of the sun with fire. 12 The altars that were on the roof, the upper chamber of Ahaz, which the kings of Judah had made, and the altars which Manasseh had made in the two courts of the house of the LORD, the king broke down and pulverized there, and threw their dust into the Brook Kidron. 13 Then the king defiled the high places that were east of Jerusalem, which were on the south of the Mount of Corruption, which Solomon king of Israel had built for Ashtoreth the abomination of the Sidonians, for Chemosh the abomination of the Moabites, and for Milcom the abomination of the people of Ammon. 14 And he broke in pieces the sacred pillars and cut down the wooden images, and filled their places with the bones of men.
15 Moreover the altar that was at Bethel, and the high place which Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel sin, had made, both that altar and the high place he broke down; and he burned the high place and crushed it to powder, and burned the wooden image. 16 As Josiah turned, he saw the tombs that were there on the mountain. And he sent and took the bones out of the tombs and burned them on the altar, and defiled it according to the word of the LORD which the man of God proclaimed, who proclaimed these words. 17 Then he said, “What gravestone is this that I see?”
So the men of the city told him, “It is the tomb of the man of God who came from Judah and proclaimed these things which you have done against the altar of Bethel.”
18 And he said, “Let him alone; let no one move his bones.” So they let his bones alone, with the bones of the prophet who came from Samaria.
19 Now Josiah also took away all the shrines of the high places that were in the cities of Samaria, which the kings of Israel had made to provoke the LORD to anger; and he did to them according to all the deeds he had done in Bethel. 20 He executed all the priests of the high places who were there, on the altars, and burned men’s bones on them; and he returned to Jerusalem.
21 Then the king commanded all the people, saying, “Keep the Passover to the LORD your God, as it is written in this Book of the Covenant.” 22 Such a Passover surely had never been held since the days of the judges who judged Israel, nor in all the days of the kings of Israel and the kings of Judah. 23 But in the eighteenth year of King Josiah this Passover was held before the LORD in Jerusalem. 24 Moreover Josiah put away those who consulted mediums and spiritists, the household gods and idols, all the abominations that were seen in the land of Judah and in Jerusalem, that he might perform the words of the law which were written in the book that Hilkiah the priest found in the house of the LORD. 25 Now before him there was no king like him, who turned to the LORD with all his heart, with all his soul, and with all his might, according to all the Law of Moses; nor after him did any arise like him.

26 Nevertheless the LORD did not turn from the fierceness of His great wrath, with which His anger was aroused against Judah, because of all the provocations with which Manasseh had provoked Him. 27 And the LORD said, “I will also remove Judah from My sight, as I have removed Israel, and will cast off this city Jerusalem which I have chosen, and the house of which I said, ‘My name shall be there.’ ”

28 Now the rest of the acts of Josiah, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? 29 In his days Pharaoh Necho king of Egypt went to the aid of the king of Assyria, to the River Euphrates; and King Josiah went against him. And Pharaoh Necho killed him at Megiddo when he confronted him. 30 Then his servants moved his body in a chariot from Megiddo, brought him to Jerusalem, and buried him in his own tomb. And the people of the land took Jehoahaz the son of Josiah, anointed him, and made him king in his father’s place.

31 Jehoahaz was twenty-three years old when he became king, and he reigned three months in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Hamutal the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah. 32 And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his fathers had done. 33 Now Pharaoh Necho put him in prison at Riblah in the land of Hamath, that he might not reign in Jerusalem; and he imposed on the land a tribute of one hundred talents of silver and a talent of gold. 34 Then Pharaoh Necho made Eliakim the son of Josiah king in place of his father Josiah, and changed his name to Jehoiakim. And Pharaoh took Jehoahaz and went to Egypt, and he died there.

35 So Jehoiakim gave the silver and gold to Pharaoh; but he taxed the land to give money according to the command of Pharaoh; he exacted the silver and gold from the people of the land, from everyone according to his assessment, to give it to Pharaoh Necho. 36 Jehoiakim was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Zebudah the daughter of Pedaiah of Rumah. 37 And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his fathers had done.

First of all who wants to “die evil in the sight of the LORD”?

That’s the main purpose of this website and this specific post. I’ve stated before in previous posts that the American church is not only very gullible, it’s very much so lacking discernment.

Discernment: Read here. Must read.

As I read this scripture today, I immediately thought about what we see in our culture today, more specifically in the Marvel movies which not only the masses are flocking to but also Christians. Their children’s birthday themes are all about superheroes- superheroes who represent the “host of heaven” and/or idols. Everything that is high and mighty in the hearts of people and so popular in the movies and in our culture is dedicated to Baal- it’s Baal worship! Via www.biblestudytools.com commentary of 2 Kings 23:4

And the king commanded Hilkiah the high priest, and the priests
of the second order
Or the second course of the priests; the course of Jedaiah, ( 1 Chronicles 24:7 ) as some think; or rather, the two chief priests next to the high priest, who was of the line both of Eleazar and Ithamar; though the Targum interprets it of the Sagan of the priests, a deputy of the high priest, such as in later times the high priest had always appointed for him on the day of atonement:

and the keepers of the door:
the porters at the door and gates of the temple; or rather the treasurers, as the Targum; such as were appointed over the vessels of the sanctuary, as the Jewish writers generally interpret it, and which best agrees with what follows:

to bring forth out of the temple of the Lord all the vessels that were
made for Baal:
used in burning incense, or offering sacrifices to him:

and for the grove:
the idol of the grove, or Asherah, that is, Ashtoreth, or Astarte, the same with Venus, or the moon, as Baal was the sun, the one the husband, and the other the wife, according to the Jews F19:

and for all the host of heaven:
the stars:

and he burnt them without Jerusalem in the fields of Kidron;
or plain of Kidron, as the Targum; through which the brook Kidron ran:

and carried the ashes of them unto Bethel;
where one of Jeroboam’s calves was set, and was the source of idolatry; and this he did in contempt of that place; and, to show his detestation of the idolatry there, he made it a dunghill of ashes of things used in idolatrous service; this he could do, that place being in the hands of the kings of Judah from the times of Ahijah, ( 2 Chronicles 13:19 ) .

Anyone, especially Christians who are fans of Marvel/Spiderman movies must repent before God Almighty of idol worship to Baal, Asherah, and all the host of heaven and burn all the regalia verses 4 above.

Heavenly Father, I come before you to repent for being so gullible and for living for the flesh and not for the spirit which is why I am weak in my spirit and unable to discern between good and evil. Forgive me for not questioning what I do and why I am so drawn to the things of this world.

I repent for spending my hard-earned money on the things of this world – of the kingdom of darkness instead of sowing it for Your kingdom – the kingdom of Heaven. Forgive me God and help me to seek You wholeheartedly from this day forward so that You may give me discernment to know the difference between good and evil.

I renounce Satan and his kingdom of darkness along with all Baal worship, worship of the Nordic kingdom (the hosts of heaven) and help me to burn all the regalia in my possession that is opening a door to the powers of darkness, in the mighty name of JESUS CHRIST I pray AMEN.

Today (next day 1/16/2022) in my devotional reading of the Bible I came across Psalm 95

A Call to Worship and Obedience

1 Oh come, let us sing to the Lord!

Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation.

2 Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving;

Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms.

3 For the Lord is the great God,

And the great King above all gods.

4 In His hand are the deep places of the earth;

The heights of the hills are His also.

5 The sea is His, for He made it;

And His hands formed the dry land.

6 Oh come, let us worship and bow down;

Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.

7 For He is our God,

And we are the people of His pasture,

And the sheep of His hand.

Today, if you will hear His voice:

8 “Do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion,

As in the day of trial in the wilderness,

9 When your fathers tested Me;

They tried Me, though they saw My work.

10 For forty years I was grieved with that generation,

And said, ‘It is a people who go astray in their hearts,

And they do not know My ways.’

11 So I swore in My wrath,

‘They shall not enter My rest.’ ”

I couldn’t help but see how this Psalm 95 tied in with yesterday’s devotional and this post that I began working on yesterday.

SPEAK, LORD- He is calling us to “Restore True Worship” “A Call to Worship and Obedience”  (Please re-read the above verses 8-11 again)

As I read those final verses especially verse 10: For forty years I was grieved with that generation, and said, ‘It is a people who go astray in their hearts, and they do not know My ways.’ verse 11: So I swore in My wrath, ‘They shall not enter My rest.'” – I was reminded what the very last verse of the Old Testament says,

Malachi 4:4-6 “Remember the Law of Moses, My servant, which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments. Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD. And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, *lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.”

And as I read that last *verse 6, which I had read many times before, I thought this time/today – could that verse be referring to something similar to the COVID-19 virus?? The wicked virus that struck the whole world. I’m not saying that GOD Almighty sent that virus – but He obviously permitted it.

God Almighty hasn’t sent the prophet Elijah yet, but the scripture states that he- Elijah will come before God Almighty strikes the earth with a curse IF the hearts of the fathers aren’t turned to the children and the hearts of the children to their fathers.

That is how the Old Testament ends and it’s said that for 400 years God Almighty didn’t speak again. There’s a gap of 400 years between the Old Testament and the New Testament. Surely the way God Almighty ended the Old Testament is extremely important. And of course, it is- He wants the hearts of the fathers to turn to the children and the hearts of the children to their fathers.

I believe that the fathers reading this today and those who will one day read that part of scripture should earnestly seek God Almighty for a revelation of what that means.

Resources: I pray these resources will bless many with a divine revelation about what true worship is, in the mighty name of JESUS CHRIST AMEN.

I came across this post on what True Worship (link) is by David K. Bernard.

Praise is Easy. Worship is Not: The Magis’ Example of True Worship

~January 17th, 2022.  I thought I was finished with this post the other day but I didn’t publish it because – I don’t know? The LORD had more to say yet. In today’s devotional reading I came across Psalm 78 and saw that our Heavenly Father has yet more to say- He’s telling us what is highly IMPORTANT to Him.

THE CHILDREN!!

PSALM 78

God’s Kindness to Rebellious Israel

A Contemplation Of Asaph.

1 Give ear, O my people, to my law;

Incline your ears to the words of my mouth.

2 I will open my mouth in a parable;

I will utter dark sayings of old,

3 Which we have heard and known,

And our fathers have told us.

4 We will not hide them from their children,

Telling to the generation to come the praises of the Lord,

And His strength and His wonderful works that He has done.

5 For He established a testimony in Jacob,

And appointed a law in Israel,

Which He commanded our fathers,

That they should make them known to their children;

6 That the generation to come might know them,

The children who would be born,

That they may arise and declare them to their children,

7 That they may set their hope in God,

And not forget the works of God,

But keep His commandments;

8 And may not be like their fathers,

A stubborn and rebellious generation,

A generation that did not set its heart aright,

And whose spirit was not faithful to God.

9 The children of Ephraim, being armed and carrying bows,

Turned back in the day of battle.

10 They did not keep the covenant of God;

They refused to walk in His law,

11 And forgot His works

And His wonders that He had shown them.

12 Marvelous things He did in the sight of their fathers,

In the land of Egypt, in the field of Zoan.

13 He divided the sea and caused them to pass through;

And He made the waters stand up like a heap.

14 In the daytime also He led them with the cloud,

And all the night with a light of fire.

15 He split the rocks in the wilderness,

And gave them drink in abundance like the depths.

16 He also brought streams out of the rock,

And caused waters to run down like rivers.

17 But they sinned even more against Him

By rebelling against the Most High in the wilderness.

18 And they tested God in their heart

By asking for the food of their fancy.

19 vYes, they spoke against God:

They said, “Can God prepare a table in the wilderness?

20 Behold, He struck the rock,

So that the waters gushed out,

And the streams overflowed.

Can He give bread also?

Can He provide meat for His people?”

21 Therefore the Lord heard this and was furious;

So a fire was kindled against Jacob,

And anger also came up against Israel,

22 Because they did not believe in God,

And did not trust in His salvation.

23 Yet He had commanded the clouds above,

And opened the doors of heaven,

24 Had rained down manna on them to eat,

And given them of the bread of heaven.

25 Men ate angels’ food;

He sent them food to the full.

26 He caused an east wind to blow in the heavens;

And by His power He brought in the south wind.

27 He also rained meat on them like the dust,

Feathered fowl like the sand of the seas;

28 And He let them fall in the midst of their camp,

All around their dwellings.

29 So they ate and were well filled,

For He gave them their own desire.

30 They were not deprived of their craving;

But while their food was still in their mouths,

31 The wrath of God came against them,

And slew the stoutest of them,

And struck down the choice men of Israel.

32 In spite of this they still sinned,

And did not believe in His wondrous works.

33 Therefore their days He consumed in futility,

And their years in fear.

34 iWhen He slew them, then they sought Him;

And they returned and sought earnestly for God.

35 Then they remembered that God was their rock,

And the Most High God their Redeemer.

36 Nevertheless they flattered Him with their mouth,

And they lied to Him with their tongue;

37 For their heart was not steadfast with Him,

Nor were they faithful in His covenant.

38 But He, being full of compassion, forgave their iniquity,

And did not destroy them.

Yes, many a time He turned His anger away,

And did not stir up all His wrath;

39 For He remembered that they were but flesh,

A breath that passes away and does not come again.

40 How often they provoked Him in the wilderness,

And grieved Him in the desert!

41 Yes, again and again they tempted God,

And limited the Holy One of Israel.

42 They did not remember His power:

The day when He redeemed them from the enemy,

43 When He worked His signs in Egypt,

And His wonders in the field of Zoan;

44 Turned their rivers into blood,

And their streams, that they could not drink.

45 He sent swarms of flies among them, which devoured them,

And frogs, which destroyed them.

46 He also gave their crops to the caterpillar,

And their labor to the locust.

47 zHe destroyed their vines with hail,

And their sycamore trees with frost.

48 He also gave up their cattle to the hail,

And their flocks to fiery lightning.

49 He cast on them the fierceness of His anger,

Wrath, indignation, and trouble,

By sending angels of destruction among them.

50 He made a path for His anger;

He did not spare their soul from death,

But gave 2their life over to the plague,

51 And destroyed all the firstborn in Egypt,

The first of their strength in the tents of Ham.

52 But He made His own people go forth like sheep,

And guided them in the wilderness like a flock;

53 And He led them on safely, so that they did not fear;

But the sea overwhelmed their enemies.

54 And He brought them to His holy border,

This mountain which His right hand had acquired.

55 He also drove out the nations before them,

Allotted them an inheritance by survey,

And made the tribes of Israel dwell in their tents.

56 Yet they tested and provoked the Most High God,

And did not keep His testimonies,

57 But turned back and acted unfaithfully like their fathers;

They were turned aside like a deceitful bow.

58 For they provoked Him to anger with their high places,

And moved Him to jealousy with their carved images.

59 When God heard this, He was furious,

And greatly abhorred Israel,

60 So that He forsook the tabernacle of Shiloh,

The tent He had placed among men,

61 And delivered His strength into captivity,

And His glory into the enemy’s hand.

62 He also gave His people over to the sword,

And was furious with His inheritance.

63 The fire consumed their young men,

And their maidens were not given in marriage.

64 Their priests fell by the sword,

And their widows made no lamentation.

65 Then the Lord awoke as from sleep,

Like a mighty man who shouts because of wine.

66 And He beat back His enemies;

He put them to a perpetual reproach.

67 Moreover He rejected the tent of Joseph,

And did not choose the tribe of Ephraim,

68 But chose the tribe of Judah,

Mount Zion which He loved.

69 And He built His sanctuary like the heights,

Like the earth which He has established forever.

70 He also chose David His servant,

And took him from the sheepfolds;

71 From following the ewes that had young He brought him,

To shepherd Jacob His people,

And Israel His inheritance.

72 So he shepherded them according to the integrity of his heart,

And guided them by the skillfulness of his hands. –via biblia.com

I think it’s clear that our Heavenly Father wants us to invest in our children’s spiritual well-being and as I’ve stated before, it seems to me that the baby-boomers for the most part, dropped the ball and stopped taking their children to church to learn about the God of the Bible. And that the previous elections have been parents voting against their children the millennials.

Satan has deceived the church as a whole into believing that children are too young to understand the things of the Bible- of the Spirit when we can clearly see through Scripture that the Almighty entrusted kingdoms to young kings (children and teenagers in today’s standards) and He entrusted the Birth of the Savior to a young Mary. Yet the church is entertaining children/youth with crafts that are fine/suitable for toddlers, but our 8-year-olds and older are capable of understanding the deeper things of the Spirit. Many of today’s children/youth are actually dealing with the deeper things of the evil spiritual realm with night terrors and dark movies in the theaters which their parents are too spiritually ignorant to discern that fact and they expose their young children to the dark side and more tragically they’re opening them up to demonic oppression and/or possession with Harry Potter, the Marvel movies, and even the perverted Disney movies. Let’s not leave out the demonic concerts.

Please listen to this account: Woman Demonized by German Blood Sacrifice to learn what some children are dealing with and no one in the contemporary churches is able to help them. Shame on the churches throughout America and the world that has completely ignored the deliverance ministry which our LORD JESUS Himself ministered! But thank God Almighty for listening to our prayers and who is causing today’s deliverance ministers to come together in unity and are spreading the deliverance ministry even it be through social media. Many are finding deliverance from demonic oppression through the internet! PRAISE BE TO GOD! Take a listen here: There is MORE To Your Deliverance

FATHERS, INVEST TIME INTO YOUR CHILDREN’S LIVES!!

As I sit here keying this post, my 14-year-old son is outside in the garage with his father/my husband working on something together, and I heard my son genuinely laughing when months ago that wouldn’t be the case. What changed? Our good LORD made it possible for my husband to quit his job to begin getting our house ready to sell to move to another state. We are in currently under contract and the LORD has been working on my husband during this time that he is not working. I’m beginning to believe that our good LORD never intended for godly men to work for big company’s let alone women! There was no way that my husband could submit to God and resist the devil outside of the home. I know there are men who can, but many men cannot because they lack discipline. Another reason is that men get home tired from work and they don’t want to spend time with their children nor will they do so during the weekends because it’s their “me time” and they are off hanging out with their buddies or watching professional sports on TV and the children are left to their devices and satan’s demonic devises. LORD have mercy, it’s just too obvious that Satan is after our children!

Please heed the warning parents but especially fathers, and seek the LORD to show you where you are off and how you can get into sync with His Holy Spirit and begin to move toward fulfilling your divine calling on earth. It is obvious that God Almighty is highly concerned about our children and their children (our grandchildren).

My advice is to begin reading the Bible with them and follow families on youtube that are doing what God Almighty intended families to do. Below are a few families that are not perfect but are a good example of what a father/family should be doing maybe not exactly how these families are doing family, but find a way to do family God’s way:
